Years of Impact
In 2026, the Foundation officially adopted the name AquaTerra Foundation, Inc., reflecting a broader vision for environmental stewardship. At the same time, Clear Lakes Foundation was retained as the Foundation's officially registered Doing Business As (DBA), preserving its established identity and community relationships while becoming AquaTerra Foundation's Central Florida initiative.

Canal and Lake Stewardship
The Waterways Committee in the Isle of Catalina community strives to maintain approximately 2 miles of navigable canals that are approximately 60-70 feet wide connected to Clear Lake (~357 acres). In partnership with UF LAKEWATCH Program, monthly water testing is conducted on Clear Lake. Volunteers and donations are what keep the canals clean and navigable.
Immediate Impact
Taking Action
The Isle of Catalina boat ramp has provided the community with access to Clear Lake for many years. Unfortunately, its condition has continued to deteriorate and the need for repair has become increasingly urgent. A significant cavity has developed beneath the ramp, contributing to settlement and making the ramp increasingly steep. Developing Initiatives
AquaTerra Foundation is committed to supporting environmental projects, research, student initiatives, community-based work, emergency support, and qualified partner organizations. All support is subject to Board approval, charitable-purpose review, available funding, documentation, and applicable legal requirements.
